Problem with the 1.0 ecoboost is that the wet cambelt change is very expensive, and the one mentioned is a year overdue, so other problems may have been caused. I understand the "Puretech" engine widely used in Peugeots, Citroens and now Vauxhalls is also one to avoid for similar reasons.
As you can see one engine is listed as Ecoboost 100ps and the other (mine St Line 125ps) listed as Ecoboost 125/140 ps. I dont have the vin of a 140ps variant to check though. At the details both have engine performance level- standand.

I am getting the 1.0T Ecoboost (wont be able to get insured on a 1.6) however I have seen people not trusting Ford's Ecoboost due to a coolant problem causing overheating and possible fires and cylinder heads breaking.
