The 'DISP.' button is the one you have to press several times while in live mode to remove the histogram. No need to press play either. 0 Likes. Reply. 1. 2. 3. Solved: Visited the camera shop over this past weekend. The person helping me turned the Histogram on so after a shot is taken, this is displayed.

Two things. 1. Sit it on a warm heating pad, not hot, just warm for several days. Open all doors and leave the lens off. 2. Call Canon 1 (800) 652-2666. In the future never turn on an electrical device if it gets wet until it drys thoroughly. You can short our the MB. Big problem.

Hi all, I've recently had an issue crop up with my 6D MK II. After a day of no use, the sensor spontaneously just gives a black screen with vertical lines. It shows up on live view. It doesn't change with light level, even a light is shone directly at the sensor - it stays mostly static. The lines do move about for the first few seconds of the

I think you have corrupted the header data on the card. 2) if the camera has been anywhere too cold, then suddenly warm. Condensation can cause oxidisation barriers on electrical connections. So rub the lens contacts inside the body with a soft lint free cloth and also put it on & take it off a number of times.
Simple 5 methods to fix your Canon DSLR.1. Battery switch slot2. Open all slots and keep it overnight3. Try another battery or lens4. P Mode shutter for 15 s
Do not insert the blower tip inside the camera beyond the lens mount. If the power is turned off, the shutter will close and the shutter curtains or reflex mirror might get damaged. Never use canned air or gas to clean the sensor. The blowing force can damage the sensor or the spray gas can freeze on the sensor.

I purchased a brand new Canon 6D (WG) yesterday, unboxed it, charged the battery to full capacity and switched the camera on. The Date/Time/Zone setting screen appeared on the LCD and I set it accordingly, hit OK and the LCD switched itself off. However, the next time I switched the camera on, the Date/Time/Zone setting screen popped up again

Hi community, I purchased a new Canon 6d mark 2 last year August It has never come on for once and each time I ship to Canon service center for repairs, it comes back with the same problem. This camera has literally never taken a single image since purchase and Canon would not do a refund/replac
To prevent the power from being turned off automatically, please carry out the following procedures. 1. Press the button on the camera. 2. Press the () button. 3. The following screen appears on the LCD monitor. Operate the to select the [Set up] () tab.
For some reason Canon does not have their cameras' memory appear as a normal USB device. I have had no problems using DPP, Aperture 3 or Lightroom 4 between my 50D and my Macbook Pro, but I have to use a program. The CF card in the camera does not simply appear as a device to the OS-X finder. Finder doesn't see the CF card.

Long story short, I purchased a brand new Canon 6D from B&H on Oct 24th, 2013. From early december, the camera starts to shut itself off randomly and displaying empty battery. I found the camera constantly shuts itself off after 20 - 100 continuous shots with a FULLY charged battery (right off charger, showing 8.23V using multimeter, and

MagicLantern software is not as good as many of us like to think. I use a Canon 5D Mark II and when I read about this software, I got excited, as probably many Canon user did, I ignored the warning on the download website that warns us - rightfully so - that the software can turn the camera into a brick. It sure did mine. Are you sure it isn't on? A couple of times I have bumped some buttons somewhere and managed to blacken out the LCD screen, and the camera did not seem to be really "on". Because I never use live view, it was confusing enough for me anyway.
No flash is fired during this process either. Continue to hold the shutter button halfway until focus is achieved, at which point the image will return to the LCD. Then you can press the shutter button the rest of the way down to take the picture. The flash will fire and an image will be recorded.
